Not Content with $400 Million Jet, Trump Seeks Even More Gaudy Bribes from Gulf Arab Princes

The brutal monarchy that rules Saudi Arabia owes its wealth and power to American corruption. So "an opulent ballroom" in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, was the perfect place for the most corrupt president in US history to declare that his regime would stop "giving you lectures on how to live" by advocating for human rights, democracy, and the rule of law. The wealthy crowd, which included US tech tycoons, applauded Donald Trump's declaration of a new world order based on crooked dealmaking among shady billionaires. There were no protests, of course.

Trump continues his tour of the Gulf with visits to Qatar and the United Arab Emirates this week. Why? "All three [countries] have a shit ton of money," a White House trip planner tells Politico. "It's really that simple." Trump is ostensibly in the region looking to cut foreign policy deals with former Al Qaeda figures, but really he's fishing for more enormous bribes like the $400 million luxury jet he plans to accept from Qatar. It's really that simple.

Meanwhile in Serbia, a $500 million luxury hotel being developed by Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner is under scrutiny by official organized crime investigators after it emerged that documents submitted to secure the controversial project's government approval were forged. Was there a kickback in there somewhere? Stay tuned. And in Washington, DC, Attorney General Pam Bondi sold up to $5 million in Trump Media stock the day before her boss tanked stock markets by announcing worldwide tariffs, ProPublica reports. There are nearly 3 million people age 62 and older with federal student loan debt, and approximately 1 in 6 of them are in default. The garnishment cannot reduce Social Security payments to an amount below $750 per month.
