As Ordinary Americans Confront Trumpcession, Oligarchs' Economy Stands to Make Elon Musk a Trillionaire
Nazi-saluting, drug-addled, billionaire flim-flammer and Trump regime hatchet man Elon Musk could become the world's first trillionaire, thanks to the captive shareholders of his slush fund disguised as an electric car company, Tesla. Seventy-five percent of those shareholders yesterday voted to approve a pay package that could net Musk, already said to be the world's richest man thanks to obscenely generous government contracts and subsidies, $1 trillion over 10 years.
"Chants of 'Elon' erupted in the room at the news of its approval," the Guardian reports. "'Thanks, guys,' Musk said, after briefly dancing on stage alongside the company’s Optimus robots." Musk will need to hit certain benchmarks to claim the full pay package, including selling 1 million of those hilariously half-baked humanoid robots – which, by the way, operate under remote control – and more than doubling the number of Teslas on the road at a time when sales are plunging in response to Musk's toxic politics.
Last year, a Delaware judge invalidated Musk's current $50 billion pay package after finding that "Tesla's board lacked sufficient independence" from the CEO. Musk called the minority of shareholders who voted against his $1 trillion payday – including Norway's sovereign wealth fund, the world's largest – "corporate terrorists."
"He has hundreds of billions of dollars already in the company and to say that he won't stay without a trillion is ridiculous," veteran Tesla analyst Sam Abuelsamid tells the Associated Press. "It's absurd that shareholders think he is worth this much." It's safe to say they spend too much time on X.
Protesters with Tesla Takedown and labor groups rallied in Austin outside the Texas State Capitol against Musk's pay package on Wednesday, prompting at least one onlooker to shout "No money for Nazis!" If only.
"Elon Musk just got $1 trillion for failure," Tesla Takedown says. "Sales are down, safety risks are up and his politics are driving customers away. This isn't leadership – it's the world's most expensive participation trophy." That sounds about right for Donald Trump's economy. After all, he loves a big shiny trophy. But won't he be jealous?

Federal Judge Orders Trump to Fully Fund SNAP By Today
Rhode Island federal Judge John McConnell Jr., an appointee of President Barack Obama, yesterday ruled that the Trump regime must fully fund Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits, also known as food stamps, by today. However, as the Associated Press reports, "it's unlikely the 42 million Americans — about 1 in 8, most of them in poverty — will see the money on the debit cards they use for groceries nearly that quickly."
"This should never happen in America," Judge McConnell said of the tens of millions who may go hungry this month, including 16 million children. He ruled that the White House and Agriculture Department had violated his previous orders to fund SNAP. New York's Democratic Attorney General, Letitia James, who was one of two dozen state AGs to sue over the regime's mass starvation policy, said "I am relieved that people will get the food they need. But it is outrageous that it took a lawsuit to make the federal government feed its own people."
GOP Keeps Beating Venezuela War Drums
Whatever the Trump regime's plans are for war in Latin America, they remain in motion. The New York Times reports that at least three US military aircraft, including an attack plane armed with missiles, cannons, and machine guns, have begun flying missions out of El Salvador's international airport. It's unclear exactly what they're doing, although they're likely to be involved in the strikes on civilian boats at sea that have killed more than 65 people. The Times notes that the deployment also "reflects the warm ties" between Donald Trump and El Salvador's self-proclaimed dictator, Nayib Bukele.
Meanwhile in Washington, DC, Senate Republicans – minus Sens. Rand Paul and Lisa Murkowsi – voted down a measure to block Trump from attacking Venezuela. Voicing the warmongering mania of the GOP majority, South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham called Venezuela "an existential threat to the people of the United States." How so? "If the administration truly believed that hostilities were not imminent, as it claims, then why all the firepower in the Caribbean?" California Democratic Sen. Adam Schiff, a co-sponsor of the failed resolutions, told reporters yesterday, per the Washington Post. Good question.
