THE BIG NEWS
Crooked AG Pam Bondi Stonewalls in Senate Hearing, But Stumbles on Key Questions
Before he appointed her Attorney General, Pam Bondi was Donald Trump's personal lawyer, and it's clear she still sees that as her real job – as opposed to upholding the Constitution of the United States as its top officer of the law. In a Senate judiciary committee hearing yesterday on her miserable record in office, Bondi sought to turn the tables on her Democratic interrogators, refusing to answer pressing questions about the regime's abuse of the legal system and instead staying on the attack, even to the point of absurdity. At one point Bondi accused Hawaii Sen. Mazie Hirono of being "antifa." She also suggested California Sen. Adam Schiff should "apologize to Donald Trump for trying to impeach him."
In short, Bondi made a fool of herself and a mockery of the US government. MAGA world was delighted by, sharing one clip after another from the hearing on social media. Her performance was entirely scripted, as a Reuters photographer captured with a snap of Bondi's open briefing book, which was filled with talking points like "You're a total hyprocrite." Wow. Hey. Gotcha.
But, as HuffPost reports, she didn't always stay on message. When Democratic Senators pressed her on what happened to the $50,000 in cash that the FBI handed to regime deportation boss Tom Homan in an undercover bribery sting last year, Bondi lost the plot, and punted to her subordinate, FBI Director Kash Patel. And when Rhode Island Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse asked her repeatedly about "public reporting" that elite sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein showed others "photos of [Donald] Trump with half-naked young women," and whether the FBI had such photos, she simply stared, mute, until Whitehouse moved on. It definitely wasn't a denial!
The top Democrat on the committee, Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin, put the spectacle in its proper, sorry historical context. "What has taken place since January 20th, 2025, would make even President ["Tricky" Dick] Nixon recoil," Durbin said. "This is your legacy, Attorney General Bondi. In eight short months, you fundamentally transformed the Justice Department and left an enormous stain in American history. It will take decades to recover."

Supreme Court May Overturn State Bans on Cruel, Unscientific 'Conversion Therapy'
Colorado is one of 25 states that ban licensed healthcare providers from practicing "conversion therapy" on minors at the behest of homophobic parents. But the Supreme Court seems ready to overturn that law, with dire implications for other states that ban the practice and for the health and well-being of LGBTQ+ youth. The Washington Post reports that the court's conservative majority "appeared sympathetic" to a Colorado evangelical "therapist" who claims the ban violates her free speech rights during oral arguments yesterday. As NBC News notes, the practice is "widely discredited by medical organizations" as ineffective and harmful, "increasing the risk of suicide among people subjected to it."
