THE BIG NEWS
Sanders Says 'Despair Is Not An Option' as Trump Disappears More People to El Salvador Gulag
Vermont independent democratic socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders drew a record 36,000 people to his Fighting Oligarchy rally in Los Angeles on Saturday and another 20,000 in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Sunday, ABC, The Guardian, KJZZ, the Los Angeles Times, Rolling Stone and The Salt Lake Tribune reported. Sanders urged attendees to steel themselves and take the fight against authoritarianism “door to door, workplace to workplace, school to school.”
“We’ve never gone through anything like this, but ... despair is not an option. Giving up and hiding under the covers is not acceptable. The stakes are just too high,” he told the audience in LA.
Sanders’ nationwide tour with New York Squad Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been attracting massive crowds since it began earlier this year, including in Colorado last month, where they set a previous record of 34,000 people. Trump and his Boer squire Elon Musk are taking note of how many people are protesting across the country, Sanders said, adding, “You are scaring the hell out of them.”
The rallies took place against the backdrop of Trump’s deportation terror campaign, which continued throughout the weekend. Trump authorized the military late Friday night to seize control of land at the US-Mexico border, falsely claiming it is “under attack.” The next night, Secretary of State Marco Rubio sent another 10 people to El Salvador’s Terrorism Confinement Center, or CECOT, for alleged gang membership. On Sunday, Justice Department officials argued against their obligation to bring Maryland father Kilmar Armando Abrego García back from CECOT despite the Supreme Court ordering the government to facilitate his return. Instead, the department quibbled over the meaning of “facilitate” and claimed that Abrego García’s family has no right to ask a judge to demand the government get him back. And at least one US citizen, an immigration attorney, got an email from the government demanding she leave the country “immediately.”

Sudan Paramilitary Attacks Camps of Starving People
Sudan’s paramilitary Rapid Support Forces and allied militias attacked two displacement camps in the Darfur region on Friday and Saturday and murdered more than 200 people, including at least 20 children and nine aid workers, the Associated Press and The Guardian reported. The violence continued into Sunday, when aid workers said the RSF was attacking the camps with artillery shells and armed vehicles and that paramilitary forces were burning down buildings. The violence was some of the worst Darfur has seen since the civil war started two years ago, causing the world’s largest humanitarian crisis. Half of Sudan’s population, about 25 million people, is suffering from extreme hunger.
Deathmonger RFK Deletes Data to Hide Body Count
“Health secretary” Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. is “making America healthy again” by no longer gathering information about how sick we are. His layoff of tens of thousands of federal workers means the end of data collection on alcohol-related deaths, asthma, cancer, HIV, sexual violence, lead levels in children’s blood, and outbreaks of drug-resistant gonorrhea, among other illnesses and conditions. If we can’t see the numbers, it means everything is fine! Kennedy continued to substitute fiction for fact on Friday with a 40-minute monologue to Food and Drug Administration staff. He accused them of working for the companies they regulate, repeated tired “deep state” yarns, and used a disability slur. Solidarity to all the staff members who walked out.
