Regime Hides Trump’s Epstein Ties, FBI Knew About Abuses for Years

Trump’s Department of Justice released new photos on Friday and Saturday related to dead convicted child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. They front-loaded images of Bill Clinton, who appears in multiple photos with Epstein. There are also happy snaps of Google co-founder Sergey Brin, celebrity magician David Copperfield, legendary broadcaster Walter Cronkite, former Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson, Michael Jackson, Mick Jagger, British Ambassador to the US Peter Mandelson, Harvard professor Steven Pinker, Diana Ross, and others, The Guardian and PBS reported. The collection included the grand jury records of Epstein and his conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell but overall “produced no major revelations,” as the NYT put it. The files did, however, include proof that the FBI ignored a report about Epstein’s child porn obsession that Maria Farmer filed in 1996, as she has long maintained. Farmer, who worked for Epstein, “broke down in tears” when the NYT contacted her about the report dated Sept. 3, 1996. “I’ve waited 30 years,” she said. “I can’t believe it. They can’t call me a liar anymore.” 

The documents dump is also noteworthy for who it doesn’t include, namely, Donald John Trump, a longtime friend of Epstein who joined him in hunting girls and women, as AMQ writer Corey explained last week. But Trump is hardly in the released material at all, and at least one image that did include his hideous visage was among the 16 photos that were scrubbed from the collection shortly after they were published, the AP reported. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said yesterday that taking certain pictures down “has nothing to do with President Trump.” Democrats vowed to investigate because that is grievously difficult to believe. 

“After mishandling the Epstein files all year, the Trump Administration is now violating federal law to protect the rich and powerful. It took an act of Congress to force Pam Bondi, Kash Patel, and Dan Bongino to even consider providing justice. They had a choice: survivors or Donald Trump. They chose the latter,” Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) said, according to NBC News. “Senate Judiciary Democrats will investigate this violation of law and make sure the American people know about it.”

As the BBC notes, Trump’s DOJ is withholding hundreds of thousands of pages.

US Seizes Second Vessel in Piracy Campaign Against Venezuela, Chases Third

The US “apprehended” an oil tanker off the coast of Venezuela, Homeland Securiti Secretari Kristi Noem said Saturday, according to NBC and Reuters. “The United States will continue to pursue the illicit movement of sanctioned oil that is used to fund narco terrorism in the region,” Noem wrote in a post on X. “We will find you, and we will stop you.” The US does not control international waters or the independent nation of Venezuela, and the tanker “is not on a list of vessels sanctioned by the US,” a source who knows told NBC. On Sunday, the regime continued its piracy with the pursuit of a third vessel, according to Al Jazeera, which it claimed was part of “Venezuela’s dark fleet.”

San Francisco Power Restored After Blackout Darkens Much of City

Most of the 130,000 homes and businesses affected by a huge blackout Saturday afternoon had their power restored Sunday morning, the AP reported. The cause of the outage is under investigation, said Pacific Gas and Electric Co., adding that a fire at the substation at 8th and Mission streets was partially responsible. “The damage from the fire in our substation was significant and extensive, and the repairs and safe restoration will be complex,” said PG&E. The utility did not have an exact date for when power would be fully restored. The blackout started on Saturday shortly after 1 pm in the northern part of the city, then rapidly spread to about one-third of all the city’s PG&E customers.
