Pentagon Hiding Number of Iran War Deaths

The US-Israel war on Iran has killed more American service members than the Trump regime is admitting, multiple sources told the Washington Post. Most of the sources said at least 22 service members have died, four more than the Pentagon’s public disclosure. One said at least 23 have died. Officials also told the Post that at least three US contractors have died. In addition to all the death, the war has also injured more than 820 service members, the Post said, adding that many “have suffered traumatic brain injuries as a result of Iranian counterstrikes on US bases throughout the Middle East.”

Americans hate Trump’s war so much that even Fox News has to acknowledge the disapproval; The private-sector state propagandist found in its own poll that seven in 10 voters believe Trump has no plan. Democrats say they will pounce if they retake some measure of power in the midterms, now just 43 days away. Per the Post:

Senate Democrats have pledged to investigate the Pentagon’s handling of casualty notifications if they retake the majority after the midterms.

Reps. Pat Ryan (New York), Jason Crow (Colorado) and 10 other House Democrats, all of them military veterans, on Friday said they were pursuing legislation that would prevent the Pentagon from manipulating government data on troop casualties.

One Republican, Rep. Thomas Massie (Kentucky), moved this week to force a House vote on impeaching Hegseth over the war, alleging the defense secretary violated provisions of the War Powers Resolution of 1973 by pursuing hostilities without congressional authorization.

Executives at Anthropic, Google, OpenAI and SpaceXAI illegally coordinated to slow down operations because doing so would ultimately help them make more money, according to a new lawsuit, the Associated Press and Politico reported. Plaintiffs argue that the public deal they struck after Anthropic CEO Dario Amoedi issued his public request for “industry-wide coordination” to “pace the frontier” constitutes an illegal business agreement between competitors under antitrust law; plaintiffs name SpaceXAI head Elon Musk, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and Google DeepMind co-founder Demis Hassabis, who all said they agreed with Amoedi.
