Judge: Elon Musk Probably Violated The Constitution
DOGE's attempts to shut down USAID may have violated the Constitution "in multiple ways," according to a ruling by a federal judge in a lawsuit brought by twenty-six anonymous aid workers fired from the agency. Musk's leadership role violated the Constitution's appointments clause, said Judge Theodore D. Chuang.
Judge Chang ordered that Musk and DOGE to restore USAID employees' email accounts, plan for USAID workers to return to an office they were kicked out of, and stop working toward "the shutdown of USAID."
"Given that most of the agency’s work force and contracts were already terminated, it was not immediately clear what effect the judge’s ruling would have," wrote the Times. "Only a skeleton crew of workers is still employed by the agency."
Indeed, Judge Chang observed that "USAID has been effectively eliminated," and it's not known whether the agency can or will be restored to full health and operations, no matter what a judge orders. The Trump administration has already begun defying judicial rulings – that being part of the whole fascist power grab. And the former office that USAID workers were evicted from? That's been given to the Border Patrol.

Texas Brings Criminal Charges Against Abortion Providers
Texas has arrested a midwife and her medical assistant and criminally charged them for allegedly performing abortions, which are illegal in the state. It's the first time that Texas, which banned abortion in 2022, has charged abortion providers. Texas considers performing an illegal abortion to be a felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison.
