Late Breaking: Harris Picks Tim Walz as Running Mate

This news broke minutes before the newsletter was scheduled to go out, but we wanted to make sure you heard: the Associated Press reports that Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris has picked Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, a former public school teacher known for racking up progressive wins in office, to be the party's vice presidential candidate. Walz beat out Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro and Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly. Jacob, and of course Sam and the MR crew, will have a lot more to say about this in the days to come. – Corey
