American Gestapo Storms LA Park in Joke of Raid

Federal officers and about 90 California National Guard members descended on MacArthur Park in Los Angeles yesterday in face masks, riding horses, driving armored vehicles, carrying rifles and dressed for war, according to the AP and the LA Times. They pointed their guns at health care outreach workers who were in the park to help unhoused people and otherwise terrorized the surrounding community, which is largely composed of immigrants. It was nothing but a “political stunt,” said Mayor Karen Bass. 

The point of the whole exercise was unclear; one newscaster said it appeared the goons were shooting a TikTok video. According to independent journalist Ken Klippenstein, the objective was to “shut down the distribution of fake IDs” and to demonstrate “a show of presence.” His National Guard sources said the stunt, codenamed “Operation Excalibur” was a failed joke. 

Residents greeted the invading force the way it deserved, the LA Times reported, “screaming ‘get the f— out!’ and ‘get out!’” while Bass spoke on the phone with an official, saying, “You’re getting ready to leave? Can you leave ASAP?”
